Talon & Claw | Sustainable Packaging

TALON & CLAW CRAFT BEER 
The objective of this project was to establish a fresh craft beverage brand that drew inspiration from the modern visual style and aesthetic of South Africa. The aim was to cater to a specific market segment, ensuring that the newly developed brand and product would captivate their interest. Additionally, a sustainable packaging concept was crucial to effectively position the brand in the minds of the intended target audience, amidst the growing competition within the industry.

To fulfil these objectives, I devised a craft beer brand named Talon & Claw, strategically tailored for South African fishermen. The brand’s design encompassed sustainability by making use of recyclable materials and providing an innovative solution: the packaging itself could be repurposed into a functional fishing hook and rod. Clear instructions were communicated on the packaging, enabling consumers to transform it into a makeshift fishing tool once the beverage was consumed.
